I tried to make an outgoing phone call just now to find that we have no dial tone. We certainly received a fibre phone adapter a number of weeks ago, to date we have not received an email from virgin with the crossover date. I am really angry about this as we have not been informed that our landline number is about to be cut off. I am a carer for my elderly dad and I am the emergency contact for his personal alarm. Could someone please let me know what the hell is going on urgently?

I have now plugged in the adapter to our router, our landline now seems to be working. I am now looking into changing our provider as virgin has let us down very badly recently with problems with mobiles, harassing calls and now our landline.

Thanks for posting on the forums about these issues you've been facing, not just with your landline but the other aspects as well.
I am glad you managed to get your landline working once again, however I am concerned with the other points you made and would like to help if possible.
Could you go into more detail about what has happened?

I don't wish to discuss these matters anymore. We have decided to look around for a more reliable provider.
