Hi, no dial tone on home phone (plug in socket variety). Have checked phone and socket and everything seems fine - it worked until recently. When I call from my mobile it rings but the home phone makes no sound at all. 

I don't have another phone to plug into it and test. Service status says it is fine.

Welcome back to the community and thanks for taking the time to post your issue on the forums.
I'm sorry to hear of the issues that you're having with your landline at the moment. This seems that there is an issue with your line, it may not have enough power to work the ringer on your phone, to resolve this we would need to send out a technician.

I have arranged for the appointment and you can track your engineer appointments online. Simply sign in to My Virgin Media and you’ll see your appointments on your account dashboard.
