No dial tone in socket or hub - unable to call, Brand new phone. Must be fault.

 

 

We have recently rejoined Virgin and just bought a brand new phone. There is no dial tone in the socket or when in the hub.  Neighbours have tried our handset and it works in their house.  Must be a fault on the line/socket?

I have waited an hour+ x twice with no answer and password not recognised on phone pad.... I think I need to book an engineer ....

Welcome to the forums and thank you for taking the time to post. 

 

I am sorry to hear that you have had some issues with your landline. 

 

Having a quick look into your account from here, I can see that you are on our 21CV (phoneline via the hub) Are you able to confirm that you have the adaptor? 

 

Has the phoneline worked at all since you re-joined?
