The phone line has been playing up for the past few weeks but now seems dead. Initially it was crackly and sometimes lost dial tone, which could be rectified by calling it from another phone, until next time.
Now no dial tone and going through the online system tests says it’s in use (engaged). Have tried other handset, direct into wall socket (it’s not a hub connection) but still the same. Can’t get anyone to answer helpline, spend ages on hold using a non-free number via mobile. Online help just sends us round a loop of checking system status and trying the phone number again....
