I'm writing here as it seems to be the best way to arrange somebody to fix the issue I have with my landline.

Last wednesday my landline phone stopped working and when I checked service status there was indeed an issue.  Checked the following day and I still had no dial tone but service status said there were no problems.

As of friday last all I can hear is crackling.  When I call my number from another phone it is ringing but not here.

I have checked all wires, all good.

Have tried a brand new corded phone, still nothing but crackling noise.

The phone is plugged into a phone socket.

Please send me a PM so I can give you my full details and arrange an engineer to fix this.
