Hi
I got a new phone for landline and plugged it to router, replacing an older model which was not able to call or receive calls, there was no dial tone, tested the new phone it receives and dials out calls, there is no dial tone is this common.
I have engineer coming on Thursday due to there being no dial tone, is an engineer needed? If I can call and receive calls even though there is no dial.tone?
Regards
Bhav

Hi @bpatel85,
Welcome back to our Community Forums! Thank you for your post and I'm very sorry to hear that you're experiencing some issues with your landline set up!
I understand that you're able to make and receive calls, however, if there is no dial tone on your landline, this is not ideal. There may be an issue with the connection if this is the case.
We would advise keeping the technician appointment and keeping an eye on your landline connection. You can take a look at our Landline Faults page to see if this can help resolve your dial tone issue. If not, the technician will be able to help further.
Let us know how you get on and if you need any further help going forward. 🙂
Thank you.
