No Dial Tone

In the last 24hrs, the phone has no dial tone.. Any calls to the landline are engaged.  This is the second time this has occurred in the last 3 months, on the last occasion a virgin tech reset something his end over the phone and it worked fine after.  The website says I need a book a technician this time.  Please either correct the issue your end or book an appointment with a tech for the earliest slot available. Many thanks.
