New hub for phone switchover

I called to request a replacement hub for the switch to digital home phone. I was told that this is a plug and play and the hardware will be sent to me.
Now I am getting messages saying I have an engineer coming?
Why is an engineer coming?

Thanks for your post, and welcome back to the Community Forums.

I'm sorry to hear there has been some confusion regarding your Home Phone Switchover. If you have a Hub 3, 4 or 5, then these will be compatible with our Home Phone adapters.

If you have an older Hub, or if you cannot locate the Hub near the Phone, then this would require a Technician visit to come and replace the Hub with a newer version. Do you know which Hub you currently have?

Thanks for confirming, Masquerada.

As the Super Hub 2 is not compatible with our Fibre Phone service, a Technician is required to come and upgrade your equipment.

If you need to change or cancel your appointment you can do this online or via the MyVM app by 4PM the day before the appointment or by contacting our team on 0345 454 111.
