Today, I called Virgin Media to add Home Phone to my services and have my existing landline number transferred over to Virgin Media. All went okay, but for some reason, an engineer must visit to do the installation? I'm already a Virgin Broadband customer, 200M with the V3 SuperHub. I'm not overly pleased with having to pay £30 for somebody to come out, to connect an RJ11 to BT connector plug to the back of my SuperHub... when I could have just done this myself.
Unless there is more required RE installation... is there any reason to have a Virgin Media engineer visit the property? I would prefer to run the cables myself as I plan to run these through the loft and drop down to each location where required. I don't want cables pinned to the wall.
