My phone number has not been transferred'

Hi - My Old BT landline # has not come .across to my Virgin Land line - how do I expedite please?

I am very sorry to hear your number port has not been actioned. 

Was this request when you joined us? 

 

Can you also please confirm if the number is still active with BT?

Hi. Yes I understand that it is active. Yes this was one of the main reasons I switched to virgin as this is my work number and I was told it would all happen at joining.

Hi GraMac,

Thanks for using the forums to get this issue with your number port looked into. 

I have a couple of questions for you in order to get on the path to resolving this for you - 

  • Did you contact BT to disconnect account? If so when?
  • Did you tell us to port the number before you asked BT to fully disconnect?
  • Have you already tried to chat with our landline team about this? What have they mentioned so far?

Hi Megan

no I did not contact BT 

yes I did ask at time of joining that I would need my number changed - was told virgin would take of it.

impossible to chat to land line team, please supply phone number so that I can call them
