My Landline is Dead

Hi,

Since Tuesday night there was a power cut and now my landline is completely dead. 

There is no dial tone, can't receive calls or dial out. I have tried another phone which does the exact same thing. I have even tried ringing my phone with a friends phone and it's has nothing not even a ringing tone.

I can't phone for an engineer as my the landline is my only way of doing so, what am I supposed to do as I need my landline?
