Is it just the speed dial function that is not working? Can you manually dial out on the landline by typing in the number?
If the phone is working in backup mode (via the mobile network when the landline is down) it will only be able to dial 999 to make emergency calls.

Another forum user with the Motorola FW500 may be able to tell you more if they reply on here to your post.
Otherwise, you'll need some more specific advice from the VM forum team on the speed dial setup/operation. They normally reply here within a few days.

Hi @Claytonboy,
Thank you for your posts and welcome to our community forums. We're here to help.
I'm sorry to hear that you're having a little bit of trouble with the speed dial function for your landline. To clarify, this is of a landline handset you've purchased yourself and not equipment that's been provided to you from us, is that correct?
Thanks,
