Line cord error

Our landline supplier is Virgin Media
Our previous phone was a Gigaset trio which worked fine
We bought a BT Advanced Cordless Home Phone trio set to replace it
I charged the handsets for 16 hours, connected the phone to the mains and to the phone socket and got the message ‘line cord error’
I followed all the instructions in the manual that came with the phone
I then disconnected the phone and reconnected the old Gigaset trio which worked fine
The landline is working - does the BT Advanced Cordless Home Phone trio not work with Virgin?

Hello

If one set of phones work with no problems, I would say that the new phones you have got are faulty I would return it and get a replacement, there should be no issues with compatibility.
