My mum's landlines is down. When you ring her number it says this number is not recognised.  TV and Internet are work did a status check and it says all is fine. Her postcode is NR5

I am so sorry to hear that your Mum's landline is down! Can I check, does she have a dial tone at all? 

Can I also ask if the phone is connected at a master socket or an extension socket? Also are there any other pieces of equipment connected at this point? 

Has she been able to try another handset on this line at all?

There is no dial tone and it's straight into the main telephone socket as I said when you ring it says this number is not recognised
