Landline - unable to make or receive calls

I am unable to make or receive calls on my landline.  My phone is showing has the message ‘check phone line’.

I am sorry for the issue with your landline.

Is your Landline cable connected to the master wall socket or the Hub its self? Have you tried using a different handset at all?

My phone is connected to the master wall socket.  Unfortunately I do not have a different handset I can use.

yes my phone is connected direct to the master wall socket.  Unfortunately I do. It have another handset I can use.

Thanks for confirming this, does your handset have fresh batteries inside? Or is it plugged into the wall for power?

I’ll change the batteries see if that corrects the issue

new batteries - still saying check phone line.  Sorry should also have said it is plugged into the wall.
