Landline - ringing but it isn't

Dialled in

my landline has a dialing tone but when I call it says it's ringing but it isn't. But it rang before the change over to wifi?

Do I need a different phone it is a BT Phone.

We are very sorry to hear you are having issues with your handset when receiving calls. 

Unfortunately, not all handsets are compatible but this might not be the case. Do you have another handset to test on the line?

I don't have another handset. Can you recommend a handset 📞 does virgin suppy or sell them?

I am afraid we do not supply handsets but not to worry as we can run some checks to rule out other possible causes. 

Can you please reboot the Hub and check that the connections are secure and without damage?

I did that yesterday Nat and it is still the same, all connections are firm and in place.

Can you please check the make of the handset and let us know if you have multiple separate ones connected?

I have checked from our side and can confirm there are no signs of an area issue or known faults on the line.

It is a BT Relate 200 and we only have one landline phone. Do you know what type will work with virgin now?

If your Relate 200 phone is early 2000's era, or before, you may have the same issue
