Hi, I signed up to a virgin media broadband and landline package and requested my existing landline number be ported over, as this phone number has been used by my family for over 40 years, it's essential we keep it. Initially I was told it would take 10 days to port, then after that didn't happen I got in contact to be told it would happen on the 27th December, to then receive a text message to say they are unable to port my number as it's no longer active. This is not correct as I'm still paying my old internet provider and I can still make a receive calls to this number, after a further lengthy phone call the customer service agent said he was struggling to get a number port accepted on the system and so now I'm left hanging with no real resolution.
Has anyone had a similar experience? Can you please tell me the best way to get my old number ported, as I'm getting nowhere with Virgin customer services, the number is still active at the same address, the current situation means I'm having to pay two providers for internet/landline which is a cost I can keep making each month?

Hi @andrew-1975 👋 Thank you for your post and welcome to the Virgin Media Community 😀
We're sorry to hear about the situation you find yourself in 😔 We understand your concern.
When the customer service agent advised he was struggling to get a number port accepted on the system, did he advise that any follow-up action would be taken to look into the matter further?
Please pop back to us at your earliest convenience and we'll do our very best to help.
Regards,
Daniel

He was a bit vague, and said he'd put a note on the system to escalate it I think, but I'm concerned about the length of time this is taking as I'm have to continue to pay my old provider to keep the number active and this will soon roll over to a third month of paying for two providers.
