Been stuck in a queue for an hour on phone after getting cut off by Romeo in India!
Why the Marty in the home move team couldn't deal with it first is anyone's guess!
Anyway, poor customer service aside, we booked in our home move week ago. Had assumed that our current landline number would automatically get transferred.
Thought I'd ring to double check, turns out that the number is not transferred automatically.
Homemover team can't help, customer services cut me off, so now trying to get a response from someone who can get the landline number transferred to our new address!!
Has anyone managed to do it without wanting to throw yourself off a tall building due to virgin customer service?
What makes you think your not keeping your number?
The fact that Marty in home movers stated that "its good you've rang in to request porting your number, as it is NOT done automatically"
And Romeo customer services in India stating "you can only take the last 4 numbers of your phone number", even though we are moving less that quarter of a mile.
That advice is clearly nonsense and I DON'T work for Virgin
Every time I've moved house and took vm services with me I've always kept my number and didn't even ask
Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.
I'm very sorry to hear about the frustration you had with moving your number.
To confirm has the process been started for you to have your number moved to your new address?
I finally managed to speak to someone named Graham yesterday, who stated the number porting team had gone home (after 8pm).
Graham said he'd call me back today once he'd spoken to them first thing.
I'm still waiting
I'm glad to hear you were able to speak with an agent concerning this.
I'm sure you will hear back from him later.
