When signing up to Virgin Media, we asked for our existing home phone number to be transferred. In Nov we received a text message saying " we are unable to port your home phone number as it is disconnected from your current provider " . My previous provider has confirmed it is free to use . We are very concerned our number of 30 years might be lost . We didn't know how to get this resolved so raised a complaint but have yet to receive a response,
It looks like a step forward ..... We have now been told from our previous supplier that Virgin have confirmed they have now placed the number with them and the remaining step is to renumber our line ... Fingers crossed after 6 months we may have our original number transferred !!
Thank you Zoie. Having received the confirmation from our previous supplier that the number was now with you, I was expecting something to be triggered automatically so we would finally have our number back ... but ..... no news from Virgin . May you help??
