Landline number not transferred

Hi

Can anyone advise, VM package was changed on 11.09 and old number reserved on 10.09. Number still not transferred despite being with Virgin. Managed to contact VM and told it will be done, still waiting over a month. Difficult to contact VW due to COVID-19. Does anyone know best solution.

I’d be interested if you get this sorted. I requested my old number to be transferred over back in Feb 20 and it was never done!

Thanks for your post and welcome to our community. 

I'm really sorry that you're having an issue getting your landline number brought over from your previous provider, this isn't good. 

Can I ask, do you still have the landline active with your previous provider? Does the number ring out when you dial it? 

The number would need to remain active until it's brought over to us or this can cause issues.

Emma, Hi

The previous provider was Virgin, only the package was changed. Don’t know why Virgin decided to give me a new number when I was told to call Virgin to reserve the old number the day before the package was changed. When we rang Virgin again we were told the old number will be re-instated, but still waiting. There is no previous provider as we are still with Virgin,

I've had exactly the same issue (which is a major one as my old Virgin landline number is the only one for me that my 93-year-old-dad has stored in his home phone) and was on the message chat for three hours yesterday. Eventually the person I was messaging said she'd transfer me to her supervisor and I heard nothing despite waiting for a further hour. Did you get this sorted?

I'm sorry you're also have an issue with your land line number.

 

Can you let me know a little more about what's happened please? Have you moved property or changed the account to get a new number? 

 

Is the line still active and have the team advised the number transfer can go ahead?
