Landline not working

VM were “working in my area” over the weekend and now my landline is dead.  The help pages don’t, and it seems no longer possible to set up a line test myself.

My phone is via wall socket. I’ve tried it with just a handset directly into the socket,  line is totally dead. Others report it just gives an engaged tone.

Please can someone  look into this for me as we are both elderly and rely on this.

Hi. 
landline has reappeared at around 1600 today.  Sadly I cannot for the life of me find how to cancel the engineer visit. Please can you help?

If the option to cancel your appointment is not in manage appointments in your online account, then I would love to help you cancel it. I am going to send you a private message. Please keep an eye on your inbox in the top right of your screen.
