Landline not working

My landline hasn't been working for a few days and I cannot get through to anyone on the phone because I can't remember my memorable word. I am 85 years old and I need an engineer to come round and look at it for me. This is urgent.

Sorry to hear you have been having this issue with your Landline, I would like to look into this with you and go about getting you a resolution, for me to do this I will need to confirm some information from you in a quick private message.

Is your phone line connected to your internet hub box? If so is the phone line connected to the hub in the “tel 1” port? (Or similar depending on the hub box you have). 
Have you had a chance to look online and check for service faults in the area? The only information you need for that is the Surname on the account and the postcode.  https://www.virginmedia.com/support/help/service-status/identification/identify
