When our alarm company service was done last week they told us that there was no signal going out from our landline. We can receive calls but the person on the line can't hear us and when we try to make calls there is just a continuous beeping on the line. My other half spent a fruitless 2 hours on the phone to Virgin Media (in India) trying to get it fixed. Suggested solutions were to ring 1571 and delete all the inbox messages but outgoing calls don't work and we didn't set up and inbox messaging anyway ! we have tried re-booting it. The handset is a BT approx 4 years old. We are left no further forward and no idea what to do ?
