Hi there Katfin,
Thanks for your post and welcome back to the community.
Really sorry about the problems faced with your landline, from checking our service I can see that you are currently affected by an area fault, the estimated fix time for this is 12:00 on the 30th August.

Thank you for replying Kain. It said there was no fault when I tried to check so I’m pleased you have confirmed that there is one and it is being worked on,

Thanks for the response,
Sometimes that can happen with the communicator, apologies for that.
In the meantime take care!

I have just checked service status online and it still says there is not a fault with my landline. It still isn’t working and has now been out for 3 days. Kian said there is a fault due to be fixed by tomorrow which I would like confirmed now please.
Please get back to me about the fault,

Kain, the landline is still not working although looking online it still says there is no fault. Please confirm that there is a fault which will be repaired tomorrow as it has been out of service for 3 days which is ridiculous

Thank you for replying Adri.
I rang the number given in your reply and it confirmed a fault and sent a text link to check on this. However the text link says there is no fault on the landline in my area. There is no point in having a link to check progress if the link gives conflicting information. Is there a credit allocated to the cost of the landline when it hasn’t worked for 3 days?

Thank you so much for confirming this info, Katfin.
Sorry for the confusion caused by these conflicting reports, sincere apologies as this should not be happening but sometimes our updates may not reach the board.
Apologies for the frustration caused by this outage too, of course we have a policy in place for these cases as if we're unable to fix an area fault that's caused you a service loss on broadband or landline in due time we can compensate you in case it's ongoing. Please, refer to this page here and find out what applies for you in this instance.
We hope this info is of help, please feel free to ask if you have more questions or concerns.
Glad to further assist you 🙂

Again thank you for your reply Adri.
However, as far as my credit is concerned I could not report the fault online a) because online says there is no fault and b) your site was down quite a lot on Sunday so impossible even to access the basics.
I tried telephoning but after hanging on to be in a queue for a long time and reading online that there is no fault, I gave up and reported the fault on the forum as there was no other way. I now read that this doesn’t count as reporting the fault but there was no other way. I am very unhappy about this lack of service and compensation.
