Landline not working

Yesterday my landline went dead briefly and came on again after 5 mins, today the line is totally dead.

I have tried other handsets and i have checked the connection, no dial tone at all.

 

the test via check service status said the results were inconclusive and suggested phoning virgin but i can't since i don't have a mobile.

Welcome back to our Community Forums! Thank you for your post, and I'm sorry to understand that your landline has no dial tone.

 

Thank you for letting us know that you checked out our Service Status page and checked all your connections. 

 

Have you taken a look at our Landline Faults page at all? You can take a look to see if this can help narrow down the issue.

 

However, I was able to locate your account on our system, and from looking into this issue further with a colleague, we can see that this issue cannot be resolved remotely. In order to book a technician to visit your property, I will need to confirm a few details with you first. 

 

I will send you a Private Message about this, so please keep an eye out for a purple envelope at the top of your forum page. I will be in touch soon.

i can't check the appointment as it's not even listed on

and there is no mention anywhere on my accounts page about an appointment.

4 hours later zero response, no engineer appointment.

if your going to book appointments for people ACTUALLY DO IT, don't wander off and leave your customers in limbo.

Using both firefox on my Linux pc and my ps4 browser, no engineer appointment is listed anywhere.
