Landline not working

HI My landline is not working. I've tried plugging in a brand new phone + I've checked all the connections. Virgin website says there are no faults but it's not working. I need it to work because I don't have a mobile and I'm disabled. Please can somebody get in touch with me to book an engineer visit.
