Landline not working

My VM landline has been down all day - unable to make or receive calls. There is no dialling tone, only a faint hiss.

Run tests a number of times and no fault has been noted.

Please resolve the issue

Thanks for your post and for reaching out to the community forums. Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your landline. I have run some remote diagnostics and it's showing that you may be currently impacted by a fault in the area [ref# C01142745 ], however the estimated fix time is showing as 30 SEP 2020 17:00. So we will be working to get this sorted as quickly as possible.

no resolution to our landline problem. VM checks show no issues but we still can't use phone. Of course, we are unable to use 150 service and using other provided number is a wate of time - was on hold for 25 minutes and eventually hung up.

I have booked the first engineer appointment we have available
You can check and reschedule this appointment through your online account if you need to
You can also cancel it if the fault has gone 
Can you please let me know how the visit goes

Technician fixed the problem - somrthing at the exchange apparently.

Fixing the line has resulted in our phones not recognising the caller - presumably the caller ID feature.

Please can you re-instate that feature.
