Landline not working via BT cable

I have my landline with VM which is not currently working, the set up is via a BT box and wiring as i changed my package last year to include home phone, where do I stand now if there is a fault with my line. thanks as it is not via a virgin box. Have done all the usual checks and even bought a new direct plug in phone so it must be a line fault.

Sorry to hear of the landline issues, we appreciate you taking the time to raise these via the forums and welcome to the community.

 

From checking the line we can't see any issues with the line or the area, what issue are you experiencing? Do you get a dial tone?

 

Have you tried an alternate handset? Do you have any Virgin Media phone sockets in the property you can try a handset in?

Hi Rob , tried all sockets in house (only have BT ones) no dial tone at all, tried a brand new new phone no joy, if I call my landline from my mobile it doesn’t ring or anything just dead. I think I need an engineer but not sure if they will look at a BT line although line rental etc is with VM so a bit stuck. Thanks
