Landline not working after 5 months

Hopefully someone from VM will read this as I've not had a landline for nearly 5 months after moving into a new house. I did contact VM at the time, and I got a text message stating my landline had been fixed. Which it definitely hasn't.

Since Covid / people WFH / Website login not working / me getting bored of trying / not really needing a landline anyway / etc. 5 months have passed and I still have no dial tone.

I actually thought about writing a letter as it seemed the only way I could contact VM to get this fixed.

Any suggestions where to go from here?

I'm not annoyed, but I would like it fixed as I've been billed for it.

Re: Landline not working after 5 months

Hey @bigV,

Thanks for reaching out to us over the forums.

Are you using your telephone line via your hub or the traditional landline socket?

Regards

Re: Landline not working after 5 months

I tried both actually - the wall and the router.

I purchased an adapter so I could plug my telephone directly to the router.

Neither worked.

Re: Landline not working after 5 months

Hi bigV

Can I just check that the phone is seated in the base correctly and powered on

Directly into the back of the hub 3, replacing the phone lead between the handset and the modem.

The hub connecting directly into an internal phone socket. Next to this is a phone also connecting to the socket, using an adapter

Kind regards,
