Landline not ported over

Hi, joined virgin yesterday for first time. Telephone number not ported over. Can someone advise please?

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community Forums. Apologies that your number has not ported over just yet, this process can take up to 7-10 days for completion.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I managed to get through to someone on the phone and the port of the number hadn’t been requested by virgin🙄

I have been told it has been requested now and will take up to 14 working days.

The problem is the Vodafone contract that number is attached to, that I’ve had for 30 years, ends today. I fully expect to lose that number as the port request has happened too late.

Thanks for the update on this, apologies that the request was never put through, you can ask Vodafone for an extension on this, if the request was done a couple of days ago then Vodafone should have that request by now and will stop the 30 day process. For clarity, please give Vodafone a call just to see where the process is at.

Hi, just an update, the number transfer/ port has happened! Well done! 
Thought I’d post a positive response and a thank you as there  are so many negative posts on here😉

Now, if you can just sort me out with a WiFi pod (see my other post in volt) we will be 100% sorted😎

Regarding the pods. I can arrange this for you, if the other post is not picked up.

If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message anyway to pass security. 
If you can check the Logo top right of your screen that would be great.

Can you confirm the email address that is registered on the account? 
The last bill amount? 
Which date will the Direct Debit come out each month?

Hi Gareth_L, many thanks for arranging the WiFi pod so quickly. Received it today. The setup was ridiculously easy and has helped with my coverage in the house. Thanks again 👍
