Landline fault

I have a problem with my landline. After 2/3 minutes it sounds like a car alarm is going off. I tried to get an engineer for a week now, had an appointment booked for between 8-12 am, but no-one showed up. After ringing the c/s line I was told I cancelled it myself, got put on an endless wait to speak to someone who knows what they are talking about. I am getting nowhere!! Turned out I had to reply to an sms that I never got, so the appointment was cancelled. My wife is vulnerable and can only use a landline, but I am getting nowhere with Virgin customer services. Any help out there?

Re: Landline fault

Hello Boerkie

Sorry to hear this is happening

It is very strange to hear that sound after several minutes

Don't worry though were here to help

I am more than happy to take a look at this for you
I will need to send you a private message to pass security
If you can check the purple envelope top right of your screen that would be great
Regards

Re: Landline fault

Thanks for those details Boerkie

I have just checked a few things and the phone is cming up with it being off the hook

If that is the case then it will emit a siren to warn you

Can you check if the phone is not off the hook
