Recently encountered an issue with both incoming and outgoing calls dropping out after connecting. Was on the phone (mobile) for over an hour this morning being passed between different departments all who said they could fix the issue and refused to send an engineer out. None were able to help and the call had to be ended due to the caller needing to provide care for their partner.
Has anyone come across this problem and have a solution? Alternatively what is the best way to get an engineer out to help elderly customers

Hi ACo
Thank you for your post and welcome to our community.
We are sorry to hear about the issues you are having with the landline.
Are you connected by the wall socket or broadband hub please?
Do you have another handset you can try please?
Please pop back to us when you can.

Hi Vikki,
It's connected by a wall socket and has a pendant alarm also wired in.
There are 2 handsets. When the landline was upgraded in April, handset 1 stopped working for outgoing calls and the engineer said it was fine and to just use handset 2. Handset 2 now cuts out after connecting for both incoming and outgoing calls and handset 1 also cuts out as well as not working for outgoing.
