Landline - No dial tone

My landline has no dial tone, have tried restarting the router twice with no joy.  Tried calling the Helpdesk and waited for an hour and gave up. Can someone from VirginMedia assist with this issue?

if you phone 0345 454 111, and get tho to faults team they can send out the technician or WhatsApp on +44 7305327112 (VM) WhatsApp

Can I ask is your phone connected through an adaptor or straight to the TEL socket?

It is connected to the router via adaptor

We'd love to assist further with this issue, please advise if the handset is connected to your hub via an adaptor?
Also, have you tried another handset to see if the issue persists?

There is an adapter to the router and I have three other hand sets and neither of them work.
