I have dial tone but can neither receive calls  or make outgoing calls ,just goes from dial tone to dead line tone .

I have responded to your other Forum post concerning your landline, please refrain from making multiple posts about the same issue as this is against our Forum Guidelines.

Just to confirm, unfortunately a fault is affecting the telephone service in the Lincoln area. Engineers are working on the issue and your telephone service will resume as soon as possible.

thanks but why did it not show the fault when i checked service status?

Sometimes it can take a little while for faults to be listed on the Service Status page, I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
