Land line ringing but can’t answer

Tuning in

 I have an issue with my phone line when it rings and I try to answer the call and it doesn’t answer.

All I can hear is a dialling tone.

I have purchased. New phone thinking this was the problem but the new one is doing the same.

I have tried ringing out and the line is just dead.

I still plug into the telephone socket on the wall as I have not had any letters about a switch over or to use my hub.

Can anyone help ?

Can you please confirm if you have received the adapter to connect the landline to the Hub?

No I have not received an adaptor or any correspondence to advise I need to change anything. 
Should have I received notification that I need to unplug my phone from the wall and to plug into my hub ?
would a standard RJ11 to RJ11 cable be suitable or do I need the adaptor ?

You would require an adapter in order to install the landline to the Hub. 

We would be happy to take a look at the account from our side and check if your area has experienced the switchover.
