Land line not ringing

Hand set is working with ringtone set to maximum and rings on test.

However, on an incoming call, it does not ring so we are missing calls. Missed calls are stored and incoming calls display when tested but still no ring tone. Have tried a different socket, factory reset of handset but fault remains. Google search suggests the fault is at the exchange. How can I check/report the fault.

I do not have access to another hand set and am loathe to buy a new one.

Hello yarrumnai,

Thanks for your first post and welcome to our Community.
Sorry to hear you are having an issue not receiving incoming calls.

I have checked the local area and its all looking okay.

This will be a fault at the local exchange which we need to arrange an engineer visit to fix.
Id like to take a look into getting this booked in for you.
If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message to pass security.
If you can check the purple envelope top right of your screen that would be great.

Just had a message from Virgin that the land line fault has been a network fault and has been fixed without the need of tomorrows planned visit.

Thanks for your help.

Hello yarrumnai,

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear the service is now working.

The engineers appointment was cancelled when the fault was recognised as an are issue.
