I want to change my landline number

I want to change my landline number - the number of nuisance calls makes answering the phone pointless.

How do i go about this?

Re: I want to change my landline number

Hi sourced

Sorry to hear that

We can look at changing your number over if you wish to go ahead with that

I will need to send you a private message to pass security though
If you can check the purple envelope top right of your screen that would be great

Re: I want to change my landline number

Changing your number won't stop the scam/nuisance calls. It may actually make them worse.

Your 'new' number won't be new at all. It will be from a recycled pool of numbers VM own. You may get one with its own history of problems.

A call screening device is a better way to stop the scam callers.

Thanks, but it's not for stopping scams if you get my drift

Re: I want to change my landline number

Hi Gareth, yes we do definitely wish to change the number over - do we have to continue with an 01740 number or is any area code available?

Re: I want to change my landline number

I will not be able to advise you off the new number Peter

Sorry its s strange Data Protection policy we have here

The number will take 24 hours to go change

To find the number,

You can dial your mobile

Or Dial 164 or 165 put the phone down and the line will ring with the new number spoken

Let me get this changed for you now then
