Hi gordonsgoodfell,

Thanks for your post and welcome to our Community Forums.

I'm sorry to hear you haven't received your 21CV/Fibre Phone Adapter, and have since lost service on your wall socket connection. I'm going to send you a private message so I can get one ordered for you.

Please look out for my message in the top-right, purple envelope.

Thanks,

Hello,

Can you please advise if Virgin Media has despatched the adapter?

I still do not have it and it has been two weeks now.

I really do need to be able to use my phone!

Virgin Media's incompetence is well-known to me already, but if I have to wait any longer I'm going to have to take legal advice about this.

It is ridiculous. VM have NO DIRECT SUPPORT WHATSOEVER.

Thank you for you your help. I've no doubt the numpties at VM are clogged up as usual!

There have been regular recent topics on here about no/slow delivery of adapters by VM to customers.

Some have chosen to just buy their own in order to get their phone working. The adapter is a generic telecoms part which is a

RJ11 plug to BT socket adapter

which can be bought online for a few pounds. Example as per pic below

21-cv-connection-to-hub.jpg

If you are using an old phone (early 2000's era or before) you might like to consider getting a

RJ11 plug to BT socket adapter with ringing capacitor

since older phones sometimes do not make a ringing sound when connected to a line from the VM hub (as the hub and VM's own adapter do not have a ringing capacitor present in them, which is needed on some older phones)

No reason you should have to do this and buy your own. However, if you have access to any fast/reliable online suppliers, you may be able to get one sooner than via VM and get your phone working again.

Hi gordonsgoodfell,

As mentioned in our private messages, the adapter was sent on the day on my reply. As also advised there, due to current postal delays for both the holiday period and industrial action, we are currently seeing a delay in deliveries.

I'm going to drop you another private message so we can discuss some options.

Thanks,
