I cannot make outgoing and receive call from my landline

I cannot call and receive call from my landline.l had tried to check any fault. And have booked the engineer to come to check. VM said they may charge me. I want to know how much they will charge? I don't want the big bill not telling me first

Re: I cannot make outgoing and receive call from my landline

Tech visits are free if the fault is not down to you - ie faulty handset which you should check first. BT also ask you to do this. If the fault is yours the full cost of the visit may be charged. VM usually charge £99 for no fault visits (when someone wants to move an access point, for example)>

I do not work for VM. The advice I give is based on my best understanding of VM policy and practice. You rely on it at your own risk.

If they charge me £99. It's a big bill !!!!! ^^^^^^ I just want the engineer to check the socket and the wire whether it's faulty or not. Is this their responsibility to fix it if the socket or wire faulty?
