How do I go ex-directory?

I've been a virgin customer for over 20 years but just realised my landline details appear in the phone book and on the phone book on-line search website.  How do I arrange to have my details removed from both?

Thank you for confirming this Susan, these answers have passed account security. 

This has all been request for you at our side and can take up to 5 working days to complete. Your number would then no longer be published in the next produced phone book or on the phone book online search. 

The phone book is published every 12 months, so in the new publication, your number will not be included.

Welcome to the community forums

We can help adding you to the ex-directory. Once the request has been completed it can take up to 5 working days to complete. Your number would then no longer be published in the next produced phone book. 

Please join me on private message so I can locate your account and pass account security. You can see your private messages at the top of the page, in the envelope icon or if you're using a smaller device, you can see your private messages by clicking on the Virgin Media logo at the top right and select 'Messages' from the drop down.

When will the online search take effect?

We have no control over online phone books and when these are updated unfortunately. 

This will be down to the sites themselves to manage those changes that reflect what is shown on the national directory system. We can only update on our side and advise the national directory system of any changes, so I am not able to confirm when the changes we have made at our side will reflect online on any 3rd party sites. 

 

I can advise that these changes can take up to 5 working days at our side and those changes advised immediately to the directory system once completed.
