My home phone (landline) is not working AGAIN. No dial tone. There were funny noises on the line yesterday and today I was in the middle of a call and it went dead.
I had a problem a couple of months ago and i was told it was a fault in the cabinet on the main road and also affected my next door neighbour.
A neighbour plugged his spare phone into the master socket and that also did not work so the fault must be outside the house. He ran the online test which said there were no problems detected.
I am elderly and disabled and my phone is important to me so I would appreciate an engineer to look at this for me. I have been waiting on my mobile to the 0333 number for support but no answer yet.
Finally got through to support - it is a known fault in the area - engineers are investigating and should be resolved by 7pm.
