Home phone not ringing

Had virgin out to connect home phone to hub 3 as had to be done at their end sorted no problem, but now my main socket I can make calls from but phone don't ring, have tried another phone so not phone

Welcome to our forums and thank you for posting. I'm sorry that you've been having trouble with your landline since your migration to our Voice Over IP service, 21st Century Voice. I'd be happy to take a look into this for you.

 

Just to check, is your landline currently connected to your broadband hub? Usually, you would need to have a connection directly from the handset to the hub itself. In certain situations, we can route it so that your handset is still connected to a wall socket with that socket then being connected to the hub. Do you have either of these setups in your property?

 

Sometimes there can be a slight delay in fully activating your number on the 21CV network following a move from the copper line. Could you let me know whether this issue appears to have rectified itself since your post?

 

If you're connected to the hub and are still having trouble, I can escalate this directly to our specialised telephony team to ensure all the necessary steps have been taken in the background.
