Home phone no dial tone (Check phone line) GU14 area

Been having issue with our landline 'Check phone line' message, we can call it and hear that it ringing but we don't receive anything and can't call out as there's no dial tone. It's been like this for months, I get that there's a lockdown right now but can someone help out please. I also run the diagnostic online but it's not always reliable, it says that there's no fault but clearly there is.

Hi Emily, We had the same issue before and when an engineer came he said it was the actual line that was faulty. But it keeps happening and its quite frustrating, we even bought a new handset. All wires are secure, though even tried connecting it to Hub 3 just to see if it'd work but didn't still says 'Check phone line'.
