Home phone issues and can’t get through to Virgin Media

I took out a Virgin media package including home phone. It was installed last week. I asked for our old number to be transferred over. This appears to have happened today but now NOBODY can get in touch with us as it’s not working properly. I have a ring tone and can ring out but when anyone tries ringing us they get the disconnected tone.

My wife has been trying for nearly 2 hours to contact Virgin Media but can’t get through.

I have checked remotely and can see we did a line test, can you please confirm that you can still not receive calls and they get a disconnected tone?

It worked on the temporary number before the change over, which we think happened today. We’ve unplugged the phone and plugged it back in again. We’ve reset the modem too but still the same. We can ring out but can’t receive incoming calls.

My wife plugged in a corded telephone, still the same.

It was working fine until you switched to our old number.

Spent most of today trying to sort out our phone. Eventually told it would need a technician. Despite repeatedly checking back for some considerable time(1.5 hourish) still no date/time. Tried call centre again and ITS CLOSED!

REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

Currently, the forum team work until 8pm but our community are there 24 hours a day.

Apologise that this is not an immediate response platform but you usually get replies to private messages within 24 hours if not sooner. If we are away from work for longer than 2 days, your query is passed to a colleague

The response times from the customer service centre are ridiculous. My wife has spent over an hour on the phone again today and still not been able to get a response.
