Home phone is forwarding any mobile which is connected to the wifi

Hello,

I have a fault with my line that is due to be looked at next week. [im getting spammed by withheld numbers which i think is a cross talk issue]

However in the meantime, for some reason my virgin media landline has taken it upon its self, to forward to my mobile at random.

This seems to affect any mobile that has been connected to my virgin media wifi. It even forwards to my mobile when i am at my parents , so it's probably not router related.

How do i turn off this feature? i have checked the router and my online settings, but im stuck.

Its a helpful feature, but due to my line fault its driving me mad 😞

Hi iamscotty,

thanks for your post, okay dial 1765 from your Virgin Media home phone and we’ll tell you which colour area you’re in. To cancel call divert you need to dial a different number depending what area you're in :

Green:#21#

Red: #70

Yellow:#21#

Blue:#21#

Purple:#21#

Hello,

Apparently there's no redirect on my line.

It was ringing anyone on my wifi. How do I turn this off as that's pretty insecure

I do apologise. 

I've had a look and it appears as though a visit has been arranged for you, all details can be found via your online account. 

If the visit doesn't suit then you can arrange another one from there. You'll also need to ensure somebody over the age of 18 is in the property at the time.

The eng attended and was unable to resolve the issue. tonight i been bombarded with phone calls that for some reason redirected to my phone. This is pretty unacceptable now. i want to know , 1 . whats causing this

2. why on earth is it directing to my mobile phone if I turn off the hand set.

I would also like to know if the calls are coming from an external source.

I tried ringing virgin media with no success and the help link when you press option 1 on the line is useless. Why is there no live chat option on the website when the contact us page says there should be.

 

This issue is driving me up the wall that i may just cancel the phone line portion. Below is my mobile. i got at least 7 calls to the land line also

I am sorry to hear that the engineer didn't manage to get the issues resolved upon his visit, are you able to let us know, did he arrange a follow up appointment for this?

Hello,

no he did not. he basically said he didnt know after testing the line. pretty useless and was unable to tell me if it was external calls or some kind of interference

Just for a little clarification, the fault with the landline was that resolved? 

 

I can look into the forwarding calls on to your mobile.

As far as i know no. he tested it and could not find a fault. Then current issues are - call spam that i dont know if is coming from a external source or interference.

 

Calls forwarding to any mobile that connected to my wifi.

I may just need my number changing
