Calling my house number the caller hears two rings at most, followed by a burst of "static" noise. The call is then terminated. I have tested and verified this myself by calling in from my own mobile. I have also swapped handsets around and even tried with no handset at all connected - the result is just the same no matter what I do. Some weeks ago I reported a previous occurrence of this fault and an engineer visit was set up. However, the fault disappeared on the day before the appointment so I cancelled. Unfortunately it returned just two days later so I have had to use 1471 or a caller display to identify and call all my callers back.

Hello Steve1947.
Thank you for your post regarding the landline fault.
Sorry the same issue has reared its ugly head again.
Can I send you a private message to gain access to your account.
Once we have passed security, I can arrange for a Technicians visit.
If you can check the logo top right of your screen that would be great.
Regards
