Home phone Down - day 2

Hello,

My home phone has been down for 2 days now,

  1. No apparent service outages in my area
  2. All usual steps taken: Check all cables, connections
  3. Router reboot
  4. Call my home number and just behaves as engaged

Have been on chat on mobile app - just get pushed to contact us page 

Please help

Same situation. I also have no landline dial tone. It is vital as I live in a basement flat & the mobile signal is iffy at best so if there is an emergency, & no landline, it could be disastrous. Tv was down last night too but that seems ok this morning.  Phoneline is still dead. I've checked the wires etc.

When I ran the test thingy here, they said the results were 'inconclusive' & to call Virgin, but I can't with no landline!!

I tried for further help online & it was asking for my phone's colour zone & to do that, yep, you have to call Virgin! I can't do this...the landline has no dial tone!!!

Does anyone know what's going on?  And what bright spark in the Virgin tech team thought that to get phone issues solved, ringing them should be the only way to do it??   How are we supposed to get help??

Hi Emily,

Home phone still down.....i have had two callbacks from technical support - not fixed yet although they said they had raised another support ticket...

when i go into router control panel i can see that everything is fine apart from ‘telephony not ready’ displayed in red is shown?

. No dialling tone on land line and engaged when i  ring landline from mobile..

I have checked all connections but am unable to call Virgin as land line down. We have also had issues with connection to internet and buffering on youtube and iplayer.

Issues have been ongoing since Saturday. Please help.
