Hello,

Following a recent landline move to fibre, my number is now permanently set to ‘withheld’, whereas previously it was visible to anyone I called.  I know that a single number can be made visible if I prefix it with 1470, but how do I permanently remove the withheld feature?

As you can see from the posts, I reported the same problem in October.   The help I received from VirginMedia was absolutely useless.  After very many hours of trying, I was eventually transferred to an engineer, who stated that their system showed that my number was not set to withheld, and that there was nothing further that they could do.  In the end I gave up and went through my contact list, prefixing all my numbers with 1470.  This has resolved the problem, at least in so far as my contacts are concerned.
