Home Phone number port

My number was meant to be ported in from sky today I was told on the phone 8-10 days so it's the 22nd today my sky services completely cease on Monday and Im now worried that I'm going to lose my number for good I can see the cease and re provided order on my sky account I guess its just a case of virginmedia doing something their end but the phone support does not have a clue

Upon checking the account I can see the port is being processed and is due to be completed on the 27th. I hope this helps.
