My voicemail has suddenly stopped working. Calls to my home phone do not revert to voicemail, though the service is activated (if I dial 1571 I get a message to tell me I have no new messages and I cannot retrieve old messages either). I phoned customer support and was switched to a new package in hopes this would solve the issue, but it hasn't. There is no fault on my line in or out. I can make and receive calls without any problems, so it seems to be a technical issue solely to do with the call divert to voicemail not working.
We have been customers of Virgin Media for many years (since NTL days). The voicemail has always worked until a week or so ago. There is no answering machine connected to it. The handset is connected to the mains.
